Vineyard Bible Training is a Vineyard Churches resource, designed to help train and equip the Vineyard movement in the UK & Ireland, through:
- Teaching sound Theological values and their application;
- Promoting, enabling and encouraging the life long learning of scriptures;
- Initiating the continued application of practical teachings.
The Vineyard Bible Training team, who facilitate this, is made up of leaders from different Churches within the Vineyard movement in the UK & Ireland. They are…
Juliet Barber - Leicester City Vineyard
Juliet coordinates the Vineyard Bible Training Task Force and together with her husband Steve they head up Church Planting for Vineyard Churches in UK & Ireland (VCUKI). Vineyard Bible Training was initiated by Juliet so that VCUKI could best equip Church Planters and Leaders through: - Teaching sound Theological values and their application; - Promoting, enabling and encouraging the life long learning of scriptures; - Initiating the continued application of practical teachings. Juliet Barber and her husband Steve are Senior Pastors at Leicester City Vineyard, having planted the Church in 2007 and previously pastored Southend Vineyard.
Neal Swettenham and Eluned Owen - Melton Vineyard
Neal Swettenham and Eluned Owen are the Senior Pastors of Melton Vineyard, which planted out from Trent Vineyard in 2006. They are married with three grown-up children and have lived and worshipped in Melton for 26 years. Previously they trained as actors at the Webber Douglas Academy and both continue to combine pastoral ministry with part-time employment. Neal & Eluned are part of the team helping with the trial Hub training programme in the Midlands area.
Lynn Chetcuti - Reading Vineyard
Having served as Associate Pastor in Reading Vineyard, for many years Lynns' passion is to see leaders, raising up leaders, who raise up leaders. As a movement embracing very practical Kingdom Theology this is our life; this is what we are called and commissioned to do. We are committed to equipping the Body of Christ to capitalize on every glorious gift that Jesus has provided, encouraging each individual to fully engage in their gift orientated ministry, growing in intimacy with Him and making disciples at every turn. This is the outworking of our theology. What more could we choose to invest in? Lynn is married to John with 2 grown up children; Graeme & Dani.
Erik Peeters - Wharfedale Vineyard
Erik Peeters has finally alighted on working as an assistant pastor after a number of years trying every other job he could think of – teaching, debt counselling, youth work in a young offenders institute, even market research for a few weeks. Studying up to PhD level in English Literature has left him with an unfulfilled desire to keep on finding out new things, which he has over the past few years invested in studying through VBI and reading as much theology as he can fit into his time. Erik’s main role on the task force is to assist with keeping the website up to date, and to help promote VBI and the School of Ministry, both of which are excellent, by the way. He lives with his wife and two children in Old Farnley in Leeds, and waits in hope for the day when people will believe him when he says that he is from Yorkshire. Erik attends Wharfedale Vineyard.
Andy and Sam Vincent - Southend Vineyard
Andy and Sam lead Southend Vineyard after taking over from Steve and Juliet Barber in January 2007. They both graduated from London Bible College in the late ‘70s but they fell in love first. After LBC they lived near Swansea for far too long before coming to Southend in 1997. They both have a background in teaching. Apart from theology Andy loves football, gardening and running; Sam loves cooking, reading, and swimming. They have five grown-up children.
Kris Miller - Vineyard USA
Kris Miller has 18 years of ministry experience as a pastor and adjunct teacher in theology. Currently, Kris works part-time as the “Special Projects Coordinator” for Vineyard USA. Kris has a bachelor's degree in biblical studies, a M.Div., a M.A. in historical theology, and is working on his Ph.D. in systematic theology at the University of Durham (UK). He has also been trained as a spiritual director. Kris is married to Tori and they have four children.
Jack Bull - Trent Vineyard
Jackie's role at Trent Vineyard is Theology Co-ordinator, which involves nurturing different types of theological initiatives designed to enrich the formation and discipleship of Trent Vineyard as a community. Jackie works with the Trent worship pastor, Nigel Briggs, in developing a range of resources, courses and events enabling them to explore different forms of worship (except singing!) drawing upon a wealth of traditions and practices throughout Church history. When not working, you will find Jackie either in a car taxiing her children to/from football/piano/cubs/etc or curled up in front of the fire, with a glass of red wine and a good book! She lives in Nottingham with her husband Richard and their boys Nathan and Joseph.
